Some fertility problems are structural, and surgery addresses the obstacle itself rather than working around it — fibroids distorting the cavity, adhesions, endometriosis, or a blocked tube that can be repaired.
Surgery, or straight to IVF?
This is the real decision, and it depends on your age, how long you have been trying, and what exactly the problem is. Repairing a tube is worth considering in some situations and not in others; removing a fibroid that is distorting the cavity usually is.
We will set out both paths with their timelines and costs and let you decide, rather than steering you towards whichever we happen to offer.

Questions we are asked most
Will surgery mean we do not need IVF?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on what is found and on the other factors in your evaluation. We will give you an honest view of both routes before you decide.
