Keyhole surgery at Pearl, planned around your trip to India

Keyhole surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, tubal assessment and abnormal bleeding. Day-care or one night in, then a review here before you fly.

Read this before you book any travel

Three things we would rather you knew now than discovered later.

Your passport is not the obstacle

India sets no nationality condition on fertility treatment. The ART (Regulation) Act 2021 sets eligibility by age and medical history — foreign nationals, NRIs and OCI holders are treated on the same footing as anyone here.

The real limits are the age caps in the Act: 21 to 50 for a woman, 21 to 55 for a man (s.21(g)). Marital status and the documents you will need are confirmed for your own case, in writing, before you book a flight.

Nothing counts until it is in writing

Before you book a flight you should be holding three things from us: your eligibility confirmed, your dates confirmed, and an itemised estimate.

We will not hold a surgical or cycle date on a phone call alone, and we will not quote you a figure without putting it in writing. Ask for all three — it is how you check we have understood your case.

What we cannot discuss remotely

We cannot advise on symptoms, give a diagnosis, or discuss surrogacy or donor arrangements over email, WhatsApp or a form. Please do not send clinical records through this website.

Bring your records to the video consultation instead, and we will go through them with you.

One trip · 10–14 days

  1. Beforeyou fly

Video consultation and a written estimate

Your reports reviewed, the operation explained, and an itemised estimate emailed to you. Eligibility and dates confirmed in writing.

  2. Days 1–2

Consultation here, and the pre-operative tests

Bloods, a scan, and anaesthetic review. If anything changes the plan, you hear it now and not on the morning of surgery.

  3. Day 3or 4

    Surgery

Day-care, or one night in. Keyhole, so three small incisions rather than one large one.

  4. Days 4–9

    Recovery, locally

Most people are walking the same day and comfortable within a week. You stay reachable and close by.

  5. Day 10onwards

    Post-operative review, then home

Your surgeon reviews you here and tells you when flying is safe.

We will not clear you to fly before that review. A long flight too soon after abdominal surgery carries a clot risk, and nobody can assess that over a message.

When you can speak to a consultant

Shown in your own time. Pearl holds three windows a day for consultations from abroad, Monday to Saturday, every one of the six days; these are the ones that fall at a civil hour where you are.

Eastern — Toronto

EST

  • 22:30 – 23:30the evening before, in India terms
  • 09:30 – 10:30

EDT

  • 10:30 – 11:30

Weekdays only at these hours — ask for a Saturday.

Pacific — Vancouver

PST

  • 19:30 – 20:30the evening before, in India terms
  • 06:30 – 07:30

PDT

  • 20:30 – 21:30the evening before, in India terms
  • 07:30 – 08:30

On Prairie or Atlantic time the enquiry form below shows every window in your own clock.

The consultation is ₹1,500, runs about twenty minutes, and is with the consultant who would carry out the treatment. It covers reading the records you send beforehand, and it is the whole cost — Pearl absorbs the bank charges on the transfer rather than adding them. You are told the exact time in your own clock, in writing, when the desk confirms.

Coming into India. Most people enquiring from here hold an OCI card, and an OCI card needs no visa at all. If you are a foreign national without one, treatment normally falls under the e-Medical Visa, and we issue the hospital invitation letter it asks for once your appointment is confirmed.

We cannot advise on the application itself. The only source worth trusting is the Government of India's own service — indianvisaonline.gov.in.

Charges are correct for September 2026 and are quoted in rupees; your bank converts at its own rate on the day. They cover the treatment described and not your travel, stay, or any care an unexpected complication needs. Ask the desk for a written itemised estimate for your own case — we will not quote a figure for you without one. No success rate is published on this website, because a single percentage across different ages and diagnoses would mislead you.

Paying from outside India

How payment works

  • TransferA bank transfer in your own currency, against a written itemised estimate. Your bank converts at its own rate; allow two to four working days.
  • UPIIf you hold an Indian NRE or NRO account, UPI is instant and free. Most people with family here already have this.
  • At the deskCard or cash at the hospital for consultations and smaller amounts. For an amount as small as the consultation fee this is usually the sensible route — a wire transfer costs the bank more to send than the fee itself.
  • DepositA surgical or cycle date is held against a deposit. The balance is settled here. Both appear on the estimate before you pay anything.

Charges are quoted in rupees and correct for September 2026. We do not publish a conversion, because it would be wrong by the time you read it. Ask for an estimate and your bank will show you the figure in your own currency.

Before you transfer anything

Pearl's bank details are sent only inside a written estimate, from an address ending @pearlwomenshospitals.com.

We never change our account details by phone, SMS or WhatsApp. If any message asks you to pay into a different account, or to pay quickly, stop. Call the international desk on the number on this page and check first. We will never mind being asked.

The international desk

+91 89800 67467

A different line from the main hospital number, and the only one this desk uses. If a message ever gives you a different number for a payment, ring this one and check.

Answered by Dr. Prachi and Dr. Yogita. Monday to Saturday.

Getting here

  • AirportsSurat (STV) is closest. Most international routes arrive at Ahmedabad (AMD) or Mumbai (BOM), both a road transfer away.
  • StayingSeveral hotels are within a kilometre of the hospital on Varachha Main Road, and more across Nana Varachha. Tell the desk your dates and they will send current options at a range of budgets, and hold a room for you. Pearl has no commercial arrangement with any hotel.
  • LanguageNo interpreter needed for Gujarati, Hindi or English. For anything else, tell us in advance.

Questions people ask before they fly

Can my first consultation happen before I fly?

Yes, and we would rather it did. The consultation is by video, with the consultant who would carry out the treatment, in one of three windows chosen so that they land in daytime across the places most of our overseas patients live.

How many days do I need in India?

It depends on the treatment, and the honest ranges are on this page: ten to fourteen days for keyhole surgery in one trip, and twelve to sixteen days plus a later five to seven for IVF split across two. Your own dates are confirmed at the consultation, in writing.

Can my husband or partner come later?

For surgery, yes. For IVF, a semen sample is needed around the time of egg collection, so the timing of his trip is part of the plan rather than an afterthought. Raise it at the consultation and it will be built into your dates.

What should I send before the consultation?

Nothing through this website. Bring whatever reports you already have to the video consultation and we will go through them with you there. We do not accept clinical records by web form, and we will not ask you for them by message.

When can I fly home?

After your post-operative or post-procedure review here, and not before it. A long flight too soon after abdominal surgery carries a clot risk that cannot be assessed remotely, so this is one date we will not confirm over a message.

Do you publish IVF success rates?

No. A single percentage across different ages and diagnoses would mislead you, and publishing one that way is misleading advertising in India. At your consultation you will be given a realistic picture for your own case, with the reasoning behind it.

Do you arrange surrogacy or donor treatment for patients from abroad?

We cannot discuss surrogacy or donor arrangements by email, WhatsApp or web form, and advertising them is prohibited in India. Anything in this area is a conversation with a consultant, within what the ART and Surrogacy Acts allow.

Ask the international desk

We reply within one working day, in one of your own daytime hours. Monday to Saturday.

Please do not include medical details, test results or a diagnosis. We will go through those with you in the consultation, and anything clinical sent here is cut before it reaches the desk.
Or message on WhatsApp.
